Job Description

The role is accountable for New Product Development for Everyday Earrings. The incumbent will coordinate with all stakeholders to achieve the set targets in new designs and business volume pertaining to the EFGK categories.

External Interfaces:

  • PD Partners
  • DEC
  • Merchandising
  • End Customer (at times)
  • Mount sources
  • Design Co-creation sources

Internal Interfaces:

  • In-house NPD
  • Upstream & Stone Sorting
  • QA
  • Planning
  • SCM

Job Requirements:

  • Education: Graduation in Designs (NIFT / NID) or Equivalent.
  • Relevant Experience: Minimum 3-6 years of experience in Jewellery Design, Merchandising, and Product Development.
  • Behavioural Skills:Drive for Results
  • Self-Motivated
  • Agile & Customer Centric
  • Interpersonal/Influencing skills
  • Communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Knowledge:Exposure to fashion Jewellery design trends.
  • Market exposure to Branded Jewellery.
  • Product trend analysis and capitalization.

Goal Contribution & Outcomes:

1. Value Generation through Saleable Designs:

  • Aligning to Everyday Category team requirements in terms of Designs and Variety of styles.
  • Explore Design co-creation sources across the Globe.
  • Outcome:
  • Order value generation in line with the Annual Business plan.
  • Performance Measure:
  • Indent value; Number of new designs developed.

2. Introduce Trendy Designs:

  • Offering new designs with variety capitalizing on their strength.
  • Scout for new design concepts and products in Domestic and International sources.
  • Outcome:
  • Value generation; Addition of New design sources.
  • Performance Measure:
  • 2/3rd Hit rate in designs.

3. Agile Response:

  • Quick introduction of new designs with First mover advantage in design concepts by closely working with the PD partner.
  • Closely work with the Jewellery eco-system to capitalize on trends well before the competition captures them.
  • Outcome:
  • New design collection launch as per timeline.
  • Performance Measure:
  • Number of new collection introductions.
