Category Head (Demand & Growth)

Location: Bangalore

Experience: 8+ Years (including 5+ years in growth/revenue leadership or P&L ownership)

Domain: E-commerce | D2C | Consumer Internet | Growth

Role Overview

We are looking for a strategic and data-driven Category Head (Demand & Growth) to lead demand generation, customer growth, and revenue optimization initiatives. This role requires strong ownership of the category P&L, customer journey, and growth levers across acquisition, engagement, and retention.

Key Responsibilities

Demand Generation & Growth Strategy

  • Own and drive demand generation strategy across multiple growth channels
  • Identify opportunities to scale customer acquisition, engagement, and retention
  • Develop data-driven growth plans aligned with revenue targets

Revenue & P&L Ownership

  • Lead category revenue growth through structured planning and execution
  • Monitor performance metrics and optimize growth levers to improve ROI
  • Track and improve key KPIs related to revenue, demand, and customer lifetime value

Catalog & Merchandising Optimization

  • Manage catalog quality, pricing strategy, promotions, and merchandising initiatives
  • Ensure product assortment aligns with customer demand and business goals
  • Continuously improve category performance through pricing and assortment strategies

Customer Experience & Journey Optimization

  • Own the end-to-end customer journey including experience, NPS, and loyalty
  • Collaborate with product, marketing, and content teams to improve customer engagement
  • Identify and address customer journey gaps to improve conversion and retention

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with product, analytics, marketing, and operations teams
  • Translate customer insights and data into actionable growth strategies
  • Drive alignment across teams to achieve business objectives

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in e-commerce, D2C, or consumer internet businesses
  • 5+ years of experience in growth, revenue leadership, or P&L ownership roles
  • Strong experience in growth strategy, merchandising, catalog management, and customer experience
  • Proven track record of scaling revenue and optimizing demand channels
  • Strong analytical mindset with ability to interpret data and drive decisions
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments
