Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Cataract, Cornea, and Refractive Specialist based in Lucknow. The specialist will handle diagnosis, treatments, and surgeries related to cataract, corneal disorders, and refractive errors. Responsibilities include pre- and post-operative patient care, performing advanced surgical procedures, conducting consultations, and collaborating with other medical professionals to ensure the best clinical outcomes for patients. The role also involves staying updated on the latest advancements in ophthalmology and participating in hospital training programs or research activities as needed.
Qualifications
- In-depth knowledge of cataract surgeries, corneal transplantation, and refractive surgeries, including LASIK and other advanced techniques
- Proficiency in diagnostic tools and technologies used in ophthalmology, such as corneal topography, OCT, and slit-lamp examinations
- Strong patient care skills, including consultation, communication, and pre- and post-operative management
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Doctor of Medicine (MD/MS/DNB) in Ophthalmology or equivalent qualification
- Fellowship or advanced training in Cataract, Cornea, and Refractive Surgery is highly preferred
- Attention to detail, precision in surgical skills, and a commitment to patient safety and satisfaction
- Willingness to stay updated on advancements in ophthalmic treatments and contribute to research, if applicable
- Professional registration and licensing as required in India
