Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)
- Strong knowledge of Cassandra Architecture including read/write paths, hinted handoffs, read repairs, compaction, caching, GC Tuning.
- Hands on experience in Cassandra installation, configuration, replacing dead nodes, clean-up, add and remove nodes/data centers in a multi DC environment
- Experience in Cassandra Upgradation, Backups, restore and recovery of the Cassandra database. Must have experience in monitoring, troubleshooting and performance tuning of Cassandra cluster.
- Good at Cassandra data-modeling. Managing database schema along with user/application security for Cassandra
- Strong knowledge of UNIX/LINUX platforms and shell scripting.
- Ability to quickly learn new business and technical concepts in a fast paced service focused environment. Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good customer service and communication skills. Must be comfortable interacting with Internal clients and internal staff.
- Highly motivated with the ability to work well independently and within a team environment.
- Ability to work under pressure and to handle several tasks efficiently
