Job Title: Cashier
Department: Retail Operations
Reporting To: Store Manager
Job Summary
The Cashier is responsible for handling customer billing transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring a smooth checkout experience while maintaining cash and system accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle cash, card, UPI, and other digital payment transactions
- Generate bills and invoices accurately using POS systems
- Maintain cash register and ensure daily cash reconciliation
- Assist customers with billing-related queries and returns/exchanges
- Follow company policies for discounts, offers, and refunds
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the billing counter
- Support store operations during peak hours
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum qualification: 10+2 / Graduate preferred
- Prior experience as a cashier (retail/electronics preferred)
- Basic computer knowledge and POS handling
- Good numerical accuracy and attention to detail
- Polite communication and customer-handling skills
