Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Cashier to join our team at Gamut HR Solutions. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for handling customer transactions, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining accurate records. This is a full-time position based in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. The ideal candidate will have 1 to 3 years of experience in a similar role.
Qualifications And Skills
- Proven working experience as a Cashier or in a customer service role
- Basic PC knowledge and familiarity with electronic equipment (e.g. cash register, scanners, and money counters)
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Attention to detail and mathematical skills

- Ability to handle transactions accurately and responsibly
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
Roles And Responsibilities
- Manage cash transactions with customers
- Scan goods and collect payments
- Issue receipts, refunds, change, or tickets
- Resolve customer complaints and escalate to the supervisor if necessary
- Maintain clean and tidy checkout areas
- Keep reports of transactions and report any discrepancies
- Bag, box, or wrap purchased goods
- Process returns and exchanges
- Cross-sell products and introduce new ones
- Handle merchandise returns and exchanges
- Ensure customer satisfaction by providing prompt and friendly service
- Follow all company policies and procedures
