Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Career Counselor role based in Ahmedabad. The Career Counselor will support learners and professionals through one-on-one counseling sessions, helping them clarify career goals, evaluate skills, and identify suitable learning and career pathways. Daily responsibilities include conducting counseling and guidance sessions, reviewing learner profiles and portfolios, and designing individualized development plans aligned with industry demands. The role involves collaborating with mentors, academic teams, and placement partners to coordinate workshops, career events, and employer interactions. The Career Counselor will also track learner progress, maintain accurate records, provide feedback on interview readiness, and contribute to continuous improvement of career services and resources.
Qualifications
- Strong Career Counseling and Student Counseling skills to guide diverse learners and career-changers through informed decisions.
- Experience or training in Career Development and Career Management, including goal-setting, progression planning, and employability coaching.
- Excellent Communication skills, including active listening, clear verbal and written communication, and the ability to explain complex information simply.
- Experience in higher education, EdTech, skilling, or HR/talent development is preferred.
- Ability to work with diverse backgrounds in an inclusive, respectful, and non-judgmental manner.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and comfort using digital tools and platforms for counseling and record-keeping.
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Education, Human Resources, or a related field; a relevant master's degree or certifications in career counseling is an advantage.
