Career Counselor & University Placement Officer

Role Purpose

To guide learners in career exploration, academic pathway planning, and university selection, while managing the higher education application and placement process for senior school learners pursuing Cambridge and IB pathways.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct individual and group career counselling sessions to identify learners interests, aptitudes, and career aspirations.
• Guide learners in selecting suitable courses, universities, and higher education pathways in India and overseas.
• Support university shortlisting, application processes, personal statements, admission interviews, and scholarship applications.
• Maintain an updated database of universities, admission requirements, deadlines, and application outcomes.
• Establish relationships with universities and coordinate university fairs, information sessions, and outreach activities.
• Conduct parent orientation sessions and collaborate with academic teams on subject choices and university prerequisites.
• Track applications, offers, scholarships, and enrolments, maintaining accurate and confidential learner records.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Counselling, Education, or a related discipline.
• Relevant certification or professional training in career counselling or university guidance.
• Prior experience in career counselling, university admissions, or student guidance, preferably in an international school.
• Familiarity with Cambridge and/or IBDP pathways and Indian and international university admission processes is preferred.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, research, and organisational skills.
