Role Description The Career Counselling Associate (only for college students) is a full-time hybrid role based in Chennai, with a mix of on-site and work-from-home responsibilities. The associate will provide one-on-one and group career guidance to learners, helping them understand career paths, skill requirements, and suitable courses or programs. Daily tasks include conducting needs assessments, organizing and delivering career counseling sessions, and supporting learners in setting short-term and long-term career goals. The role involves coordinating with mentors and instructors to align guidance with available programs, conducting basic training or orientation sessions on career planning, and maintaining accurate records of learner interactions. The associate will also assist with webinars, workshops, and outreach activities to promote career development support and ensure a positive learner experience.
Qualifications
  • Strong foundation in Career Counseling and Career Development to guide learners on suitable pathways and opportunities.
  • Excellent Communication and Coaching skills to conduct effective one-on-one and group sessions with diverse learners.
  • Ability to support Training activities such as workshops, orientations, and basic skills sessions related to career planning.
  • Currently enrolled in a college or university program, with a strong interest in education, psychology, HR, or related domains.
  • Empathy, active listening, and a learner-first mindset to support individuals at different stages of their career journey.
  • Basic familiarity with online learning platforms, MS Office or Google Workspace, and virtual meeting tools.
  • Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple counseling sessions, follow-ups, and documentation.
  • Prior experience in student leadership, mentoring, or campus engagement roles is an advantage.
