Position: Cardiac Anaesthesiologist (On-site, India)
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive anesthesia care for adult and paediatric cardiac surgeries including CABG, valve procedures, congenital repairs, and minimally invasive cardiac interventions.
- Perform and interpret intraoperative transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) and point-of-care ultrasound to guide surgical decisions and haemodynamic management.
- Manage peri-bypass and post-bypass haemodynamics in collaboration with cardiac surgeons and perfusionists; optimise cardiopulmonary bypass transitions and myocardial protection strategies.
- Initiate and support ECMO/VAD perioperative management when indicated; coordinate escalation with ICU and perfusion teams.
- Lead fast-track extubation and enhanced recovery pathways where appropriate; ensure safe handover to ICU with clear postoperative plans and analgesia strategies.
- Maintain clinical documentation, participate in quality improvement, morbidity & mortality reviews, protocol development, and mentor trainees and nursing staff.
