Primary Title: Cardiac Anesthesiologist
A leading provider in the tertiary cardiac care and cardiothoracic surgery sector, delivering perioperative, intraoperative and critical-care services for complex cardiac surgical cases across India. We operate high-acuity cardiac operating theatres and dedicated cardiac ICUs, supporting adult and pediatric cardiothoracic programs.
About The Opportunity
We are hiring an on-site Cardiac Anesthesiologist to join a multidisciplinary heart-team delivering advanced perioperative care for CABG, valve surgery, aortic procedures, congenital cardiac repairs and mechanical circulatory support cases. This role emphasizes clinical excellence, protocol-driven anesthetic management, and collaboration with cardiac surgery, perfusion, and critical-care teams.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative anesthesia care for adult and pediatric cardiac surgical cases including on-pump and off-pump procedures.
- Perform and interpret perioperative transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) to guide hemodynamic and surgical decisions.
- Manage cardiopulmonary bypass anesthetic strategies and coordinate with perfusionists during CPB runs.
- Stabilize and manage complex intraoperative hemodynamics using vasoactive/ inotropic therapy and invasive monitoring.
- Lead postoperative handover and provide ICU-level ventilator, analgesia and vasoactive management in the cardiac ICU.
- Contribute to protocol development, morbidity-mortality reviews, and training of junior clinicians and residents.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- MBBS with MD/DNB in Anesthesiology or equivalent and valid Indian medical registration.
- Proven experience in cardiac anesthesia covering CPB, valve procedures, and complex CABG cases.
- Competency in perioperative transesophageal echocardiography (TEE).
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Strong skills in invasive hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management and vasoactive drug titration.
Preferred
- Experience with ECMO initiation and management in perioperative settings.
- Exposure to pediatric cardiac anesthesia and congenital cardiac surgical procedures.
