We are looking for an experienced Trade Finance & Debt Fundraising Manager to take ownership of sourcing, structuring, negotiating, and securing trade finance, working capital, alternative debt, and other funding facilities for our import-export and cross-border trading business. The candidate will be responsible for developing relationships with international trade-finance platforms, fintech lenders, NBFCs, institutional lenders, and private credit funds and converting these relationships into actual funding facilities and successful disbursements.

Key Responsibilities

·      Research and map suitable alternative trade finance providers based on the company's trade corridors, buyers, suppliers, transaction structures, and funding requirements.

·      Identify and build relationships with trade-finance platforms and lenders, including Drip Capital, Incomlend, Tradewind, Stenn, KredX, Velotrade, Demica, PrimaDollar, and other suitable international/domestic funding providers.

·      Evaluate financing products such as Invoice Factoring, Invoice Discounting, Receivables Financing, Receivables Discounting, Supply Chain Financing, Purchase Order Financing, Pre-Shipment Finance, Post-Shipment Finance, Trade Credit Facilities, and other alternative working-capital solutions.

·      Identify financing options that offer collateral-free, unsecured, or collateral-light funding wherever commercially and legally feasible.

·      Initiate, develop, and manage relationships with trade-finance companies, fintech lenders, NBFCs, institutional lenders, private credit funds, and alternative financing providers.

·      Present the company's business model, trade cycles, buyers, suppliers, financial position, and funding requirements to potential lenders and funding partners.

·      Prepare and submit complete funding applications and coordinate all documentation required by lenders and financing platforms.

·      Collect and coordinate trade documents, purchase orders, commercial invoices, export/import documents, buyer and supplier information, buyer/supplier credit history, financial statements, bank statements, KYC documents, corporate/legal documents, and other lender requirements.

·      Manage the complete lender due-diligence process and coordinate responses to lender queries until approval, sanction, documentation, and disbursement.

·      Compare funding proposals across multiple providers based on advance rate, discount/interest rate, tenor, processing fees, arrangement fees, other charges, recourse vs. non-recourse, collateral/security requirements, repayment structure, and overall cost of capital.

·      Negotiate with lenders and funding providers to obtain competitive interest/discount rates, higher advance rates, suitable tenors, lower fees, and favorable financing terms.

·      Structure appropriate debt and working-capital facilities based on the company's trade cycles and funding requirements.

·      Explore and structure blended funding solutions, combining trade finance, trade credit lines, working-capital debt, alternative debt, equity, venture debt, or other suitable funding sources where required.

·      Evaluate whether debt, equity, venture debt, or a combination of funding sources is most appropriate for a particular funding requirement.

·      Continuously identify new domestic and international funding sources to reduce dependency on traditional collateral-based bank financing.

·      Liaise with Legal and Compliance teams to ensure that cross-border financing structures comply with applicable FEMA, RBI regulations, RBI ECB Guidelines, OFAC/sanctions requirements, AML/KYC requirements, UCP 600, and other applicable regulatory requirements depending on the transaction and jurisdiction.

·      Maintain a detailed funding pipeline covering potential lenders, discussions, applications submitted, due diligence, approvals, sanctioned limits, documentation, disbursements, outstanding facilities, and upcoming funding requirements.

·      Monitor approved credit lines, utilization, outstanding amounts, repayment schedules, available limits, and future funding requirements.

·      Report regularly to the CFO / Senior Management on funding opportunities, lender discussions, approved and sanctioned credit lines, disbursements, funding pipeline, financing terms, and cost of capital.

·      Take complete ownership of funding transactions from lender identification → initial discussion → application → due diligence → negotiation → credit approval → documentation → sanction → successful disbursement.

·      Strong practical knowledge of Invoice Discounting, Factoring, Receivables Financing, Supply Chain Finance, Purchase Order Finance, LC, SBLC, Trade Credit, and other trade-finance instruments.
