About the Role
We are looking for Capital Markets Associate to support PaleBlueDot AI's equity financing, debt financing, and future IPO-related fundraising work. This role will work closely with senior leadership on financial modeling, fundraising materials, investor communications, diligence support, industry research, and transaction execution.
This is a hands-on role for candidates with solid investment banking or related capital markets experience, strong financial fundamentals, and excellent execution discipline.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the execution of equity financing and debt financing projects.
- Participate in IPO-related financing preparation, including financial analysis, transaction materials, and supporting workstreams.
- Build and maintain detailed financial models, scenario analyses, valuation models, and fundraising models.
- Prepare high-quality fundraising materials, including pitch decks, investment memos, data room materials, management presentations, and due diligence documents.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders across finance, legal, business, and leadership teams to gather information and drive execution.
- Support investor outreach and investor communication, including meeting preparation, follow-up materials, and Q&A support.
- Conduct industry research, peer benchmarking, market mapping, and capital markets analysis.
- Assist in drafting and organizing materials for financing processes, board updates, and strategic decision-making.
- Manage diligence-related requests and help ensure materials are accurate, well-structured, and delivered on time.
- Support transaction process management, including timelines, trackers, document control, and coordination with external advisors.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in investment banking, capital markets, corporate finance advisory, or related fields.
- Strong experience in financial modeling, valuation, and analytical work.
- Solid understanding of equity financing, debt financing, and transaction processes.
- Strong financial statement knowledge and business fundamentals.
- Excellent paperwork and materials preparation skills, with strong attention to detail and high quality standards.
- Ability to produce clear, rigorous, and investor-ready presentations and written materials.
- Strong execution skills, organization, and ability to manage multiple workstreams under tight timelines.
- Master's degree or above required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Preferred Background
- Experience in investment banking coverage/M&A/ECM/DCM, private capital advisory, or related financing roles.
- Exposure to technology, AI, infrastructure, data center, cloud, or high-growth sectors is a plus.
- Familiarity with IPO readiness, financing processes, or public-market style investor materials is a plus.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth, cross-functional environment.
