As a Qualcomm Software Application Engineer, you will provide technical expertise of software systems through technical presentations in support of business development, product demonstrations, design and development of customer specific requirements, commercialization, and maintenance of Qualcomm products. Qualcomm Engineers collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers to address questions, issues, debugging, or troubleshooting regarding software systems and applications.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
- 2+ years of experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
- 1+ year of experience with debugging techniques.

Job Description
QCT's Camera SW application engineer supports OEM (smartphone, other emerging customer) with in-depth understanding of Android Camera.
Responsibilities And Requirements
- Relevant experience in embedded applications/middleware/Android Camera HAL/Sensor drivers/Post processing/Image processing/JPEG is a must.
- Strong knowledge & experience of C, C++ programming, any Real time embedded system experience is preferred
- Experience with embedded software development, ARM family is plus.
- Good knowledge and experience in Android
- Candidate should deal with the Sensor Driver, Camera HAL, Qualcomm Camera stack, Image processing and camera application related engineering problems reported by handset designers.
- Need to understand Qualcomm Camera stack and google android camera HAL etc.
- Need to have strong C, C++ programming skills.
- Need to co-work with cross functional teams in Qualcomm to speed up the solutions to customer problems.
- Strong hardware and Software debugging skills is preferred.
- Experience on Android debugging is plus.
- Good communication skills (both written and verbal), be a team player and customer communication is desirable.
