Calypso Engineering Manager

Project Description: We are looking for an Engineering Manager with strong Calypso development expertise to lead the design, development, and delivery of strategic initiatives within a global Capital Markets environment. The role requires a hands-on technical leader who can drive architecture, development standards, team management, and stakeholder engagement while ensuring high-quality delivery of Calypso-based solutions across Front Office, Middle Office, and Back Office functions.

Responsibilities: Lead and manage a team of Calypso developers and technical specialists.

• Drive end-to-end delivery of Calypso enhancements, upgrades, integrations, and transformation initiatives.

• Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance for Calypso development and customization.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and technology teams to define and deliver solutions.

• Oversee application design, code reviews, development best practices, and quality standards.

• Manage project planning, resource allocation, risk management, and delivery timelines.

• Support production stability, issue resolution, and continuous platform improvements.

• Mentor team members and foster technical growth, collaboration, and innovation.

• Work closely with global teams across multiple regions and time zones.

• Drive Agile delivery practices and contribute to strategic technology roadmaps.

Mandatory Skills Description: 10+ years of experience in Capital Markets technology with extensive hands-on Calypso development experience.

• Strong expertise in Calypso architecture, customization, workflows, business events, and integrations.

• Experience working across Front Office, Middle Office, Back Office, Risk, and Trade Processing functions.

• Strong Java development skills with experience in enterprise application development.

• Experience with Calypso upgrades, platform enhancements, and large-scale implementations.

• Solid understanding of Fixed Income, FX, Derivatives, Money Markets, and other Capital Markets products.

• Proven experience leading development teams and managing technical delivery.

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

• Experience working in Agile delivery environments.

• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
