Who should apply
We are not looking for general translators, freelancers, or content writers. We are looking for the top 1% of design scholars and practitioners.
You should meet most or all of the following:
- Native fluency in Urdu (reading and writing)
- Strong command of English (for prompt interpretation and evaluation)
- Deep academic, professional, or research expertise in Indian design traditions and contemporary practices, such as:
- Indian craft traditions (textiles, weaving, pottery, metalwork, woodwork, handicrafts)
- Indian textile heritage (ikat, block printing, bandhani, khadi, handloom traditions)
- Indian visual communication and typography traditions
- Indigenous knowledge systems in design
- Contemporary Indian graphic, product, fashion, and interaction design
- Design history of the Indian subcontinent
- Cultural symbolism, semiotics, and aesthetics in Indian design
- PhD, MPhil, or Master's degree preferred, or extensive credible experience in the field will also be considered.
- Comfortable using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.
Your Role
- Create advanced prompts in Urdu that challenge AI models
- Evaluate AI outputs for accuracy, cultural authenticity, and aesthetic nuance
- Identify blind spots where AI oversimplifies Indian design systems
- Collaborate with a global expert network shaping next-generation AI systems
