Responsible for supporting the calibration, validation, and troubleshooting of Generator Control Unit (GCU) systems for diesel/gas generator set (genset) applications. The role primarily focuses on diagnosing and resolving control system issues, supporting calibration activities, and ensuring reliable operation of genset control functions under various operating conditions. The engineer will work closely with controls, software, electrical, and testing teams to identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and improve overall system reliability.

Key Responsibilities

Support troubleshooting and calibration of Generator Control Unit (GCU) functions and genset control systems.

Investigate and diagnose issues related to genset operation, synchronization, load sharing, protection logic, alarms, and communication interfaces.

Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for GCU-related failures observed during testing, commissioning, manufacturing, or field operation.

Analyse system logs, calibration parameters, and test results to identify control system issues and recommend corrective actions.

Assist in validation and functional testing of GCU features under different operating and environmental conditions.

Collaborate with Controls, Software, Electrical, and Service teams to resolve technical issues and improve system performance.

Support commissioning and debugging activities for genset control systems at lab and field levels.

Prepare technical reports, issue tracking documents, validation summaries, and calibration records.

Support implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to improve product reliability and robustness.

Contribute to continuous improvement of troubleshooting methodologies, calibration processes, and diagnostic tools.
