Your Job

We are looking for a highly skilled CAE Engineer with deep expertise in structural simulations and virtual validation for automotive connector applications. In this role, you will lead the development and validation of structural design features using advanced CAE methods and tools. You will play a key role across the product development lifecycle, driving high‑fidelity correlation between simulation and test while supporting technology and product development initiatives.

What You Will Do

  • Lead and perform structural CAE simulations for automotive connector applications using industry‑standard tools
  • Execute static linear and nonlinear structural analyses
  • Perform linear dynamics simulations, including modal, harmonic, and random vibration analyses
  • Conduct both implicit and explicit simulations to assess structural performance
  • Apply fatigue and durability simulation methods, including stress‑life (SN), strain‑life (EN), and vibration fatigue approaches
  • Develop, correlate, and validate finite element models against test data and engineering requirements
  • Support product development teams with virtual validation activities throughout the design cycle
  • Lead and support Technology Development and Product Development (TDP) activities related to structural simulations
  • Identify design improvements and optimization opportunities using simulation‑driven approaches
  • Collaborate closely with design, testing, and cross‑functional teams to resolve structural performance issues
  • Prepare technical reports, presentations, and simulation documentation for stakeholders
  • Contribute to process automation, scripting, and continuous improvement of CAE workflows
  • Explore and apply optimization techniques and emerging AI/ML‑based approaches in CAE workflows where applicable
  • Travel as required to support project and business needs

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)


  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical/aerospace engineering or Materials Science.
  • 8-12 years of experience leading complex technical projects with strong simulation-to-test correlation.
  • 8+ years of experience working with materials (metals, plastics, elastomers).
  • 3+ years of experience in material modelling, including anisotropy in short Fiber–reinforced plastics.
  • 3+ years of experience in CAE process development, statistical analysis, and correlation methodologies.
  • Strong ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.

What Will Put You Ahead


  • PhD in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or Materials Science
  • Publications or patents in CAE/materials engineering
  • Experience applying AI/ML in engineering or CAE
  • Hands-on experience with DigiMat/Converse and injection molding tools (Moldflow, Moldex3D)
  • Strong expertise in SIMULIA (Abaqus, Isight) and Altair (HyperWorks, SimLab)
  • Experience in elastomer/sealing simulations
  • CAE user support and technical training experience
  • Proficiency in MATLAB/Mathematica and CAD tools (NX, CATIA, SolidWorks)
