Job Description

This CAE Modeler role focuses on building and validating high-quality Trim Body, Propulsion, and Chassis models to support NVH, safety, and durability analysis. You will develop, refine, and debug finite element models, perform modal analyses using industry-standard tools, and ensure models are robust, accurate, and ready for advanced simulations. The position suits an experienced CAE professional who combines strong technical expertise with clear verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Build detailed Trim Body, Propulsion, and Chassis finite element models for automotive applications.
• Develop and implement appropriate connection strategies and representations to support NVH, safety, and durability analyses.
• Perform modal analysis using Nastran and/or OptiStruct, including solutions such as Sol103 and Sol111.
• Debug and refine CAE models to identify and resolve issues, ensuring they run reliably and efficiently.
• Validate model behavior against expected performance criteria and update models based on analysis results.
• Prepare and maintain clear documentation of modeling approaches, assumptions, and analysis outcomes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to interpret results and support design decisions.
• Communicate technical findings effectively through verbal updates and written reports.
  
  

Essential Skills

• Proven experience in building Trim Body finite element models.
• Proven experience in building Propulsion system finite element models.
• Proven experience in building Chassis finite element models.
• Strong knowledge of connection types and their representations for NVH analysis.
• Strong knowledge of connection types and their representations for safety analysis.
• Strong knowledge of connection types and their representations for durability analysis.
• Ability to perform modal analysis using Nastran, including solutions such as Sol103 and Sol111.
• Ability to perform modal analysis using OptiStruct, including solutions such as Sol103 and Sol111.
• Ability to debug CAE models and generate stable, runnable models.
• Good verbal communication skills for discussing technical topics with engineering teams.
• Good written communication skills for preparing reports and documentation.
  
  

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working with NVH, safety, and durability engineering teams.
• Familiarity with best practices in finite element modeling for automotive applications.
• Ability to clearly explain modeling decisions and analysis results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  
  

Work Environment

You will work in a technically focused engineering environment that relies on advanced CAE tools such as Nastran and OptiStruct for modal and structural analysis. The role involves close collaboration with other analysts and design engineers, regular review of simulation results, and iterative refinement of models to support NVH, safety, and durability objectives. The position emphasizes careful documentation, clear communication, and consistent adherence to modeling standards and procedures.
