We are currently looking for a skilled CAE Analysis Engineer with strong experience in Hypermesh, structural and durability analysis to support our engineering team on a 1-year contract assignment.
Job Description: The engineer will be responsible for CAE tasks and/or Projects as part of delivery team to ensure the successful completion of project. The primary purpose of this role is to perform a wide variety of CAE engineering and technical tasks involving the application of engineering knowledge and the development of solutions to complex problems pertaining to Chassis sub-systems (suspension, brakes) products.

The work activities will include, but not be limited to:
Requirements:
- Strong experience of CAE structural analysis for transportation vehicle components and systems.
- Develop and analyze components, systems, and sub system models using CAE tools to meet performance targets set by the program
- Develop and evaluate design proposals based on analysis results and sound engineering judgement
- Support implicit and explicit analysis types in Abaqus. Experience with nonlinear analysis material nonlinearity and contacts setup. Independently debug models for any convergence issues.
- Experience with structural vibration analysis (NVH)- modal, FRF vibration analysis would be a plus.
- Support project manager and coordinate with customers as required
- Coordinate overall product development activities and counterparts for improving product performance
- Writes technical reports with suitable recommendations.
- Support development of guidelines and best practices based on past experience to improve processes and/or methodologies
- Ensure the deliverables are developed in accordance with applicable industry standards, regulatory requirements and meet customer expectations.
- Responsible for preparing reports both internal and external as well as maintaining all documentation regarding the project
- Tracking and reporting the status of work requests assigned and completed.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of experience with CAE Structural and Durability analysis with Abaqus and n-Code.
- Proficiency in Hypermesh and ANSA.
- Experience in Chassis subsystems (suspensions, brakes) preferred.
- FEA test correlation experience is a plus
- Strong communication skills.
