CAD to BIM Engineer (Electrical Projects)

Role Description

Inkers Technology is looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to support electrical design, BIM modeling, and project coordination for building and infrastructure projects. The candidate should possess strong technical knowledge of electrical systems and experience working in multidisciplinary project environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and review electrical designs for buildings and infrastructure projects.
• Create and maintain electrical BIM models and construction documentation.
• Prepare layouts for power distribution, lighting, grounding, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems.
• Coordinate with architectural, structural, and MEP teams.
• Participate in clash detection and design reviews.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications.
• Support project delivery by meeting quality and schedule requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical design and BIM modeling.
• Proficiency in:
• Autodesk Revit MEP
• AutoCAD
• Navisworks
• Knowledge of electrical systems including:
• Power Distribution
• Lighting Design
• Earthing & Lightning Protection
• Fire Alarm Systems
• ELV Systems
• Experience with electrical calculations and design documentation.
• Strong coordination and communication skills.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in commercial buildings, healthcare, data centers, or industrial projects.
• Familiarity with international standards such as NEC, IEC, NFPA, and local codes.
• Experience in BIM coordination and multidisciplinary project delivery.
