Job Description:
We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented CAD Engineer to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing precise 2D and 3D CAD models, creating technical drawings, and working closely with engineering and production teams to support the design and manufacturing process. This role demands technical expertise in CAD software, strong problem-solving skills, and an ability to work collaboratively on multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop accurate 2D and 3D CAD models and technical drawings for manufacturing.
- Modify and revise designs as per engineers and production teams requirements.
- Collaborate with engineers and product designers to create efficient, cost-effective designs.
- Ensure designs meet quality standards, specifications, and compliance with manufacturing regulations.
- Prepare and maintain all relevant technical documentation, including design specifications and BOMs (Bills of Materials).
- Assist in the analysis and resolution of design-related issues during production.
- Communicate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless transition from design to production.
- Support the improvement of manufacturing processes through design optimization.
Key Skills Required:
- Expertise in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar CAD tools.
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to create detailed and precise technical drawings and models.
- Ability to identify design issues and work towards effective solutions.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with engineering and production teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with maintaining technical design documents and BOMs.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in sheet metal design, CNC programming, or other manufacturing techniques.
- Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes specific to the industry.
- Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in CAD design within a manufacturing environment.
