Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced CAD Engineer / Design Engineer with 3–5 years of hands-on experience in CAD design and drafting. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in creating, modifying, and maintaining accurate 2D/3D CAD models and engineering drawings, along with a good understanding of engineering design principles and manufacturing requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and modify detailed 2D drawings and 3D CAD models based on engineering requirements.
• Develop accurate part, assembly, and manufacturing drawings using CAD software.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, dimensions, and design requirements.
• Prepare detailed drawings with appropriate GD&T, tolerances, dimensions, and annotations.
• Make design modifications and revisions based on engineering and manufacturing feedback.
• Perform basic design calculations and ensure designs meet applicable engineering standards.
• Collaborate with Design, Manufacturing, Quality, Production, and Engineering teams.
• Maintain drawing/document revisions and ensure proper version control.
• Support prototype development, testing, and design validation activities.
• Identify and resolve design/drawing-related issues.
• Ensure CAD designs are practical from a manufacturing, assembly, and serviceability perspective.
• Prepare BOMs and other engineering documentation as required.
• Follow company drafting standards, design procedures, and quality requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Diploma degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in CAD/design engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with 2D and 3D CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo, Inventor, or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, tolerances, fits, and manufacturing processes.
• Good knowledge of mechanical components, assemblies, and design principles.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering specifications.
• Experience in creating production-ready drawings and 3D models.
• Good understanding of DFM/DFA principles.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
