About Company : QARGOS Studios is working on All New Electric Vehicle Platform. We have re-imagined a Last Mile Delivery vehicle on 2 wheels with 4 solid opportunities in mind :- Complying to Loading Regulations, Sorted Ergonomics and Dynamics, Confident Handling and Rider Safety, 3X Payload Capacity for better loading efficiency. All this in compact footprint similar to existing 2 wheelers in market.

Responsibilities

The Role is for the Engineer for Mechanical Systems development for QARGOS Electric Vehicle Platform. Role will be reporting to the Head of Engineering. The expectation from this role is to actively contribute to the Design, Development, Testing and Validation of Mechanical Systems for the Vehicles in development. Role would also comprise of working with the suppliers, vendors, manufacturing, and testing personals/agencies on conceptualizing Chassis, Suspension, Braking, Wheels, Steering for electric vehicles. This role requires the understanding of automotive systems which are flexible and extensible across a broad scope of products. The position will also participate in system-level requirements analysis and cost estimation, design reviews and other team development processes. Success will require keeping abreast of new and emerging technologies, components and materials. Along with utilization of appropriate CAD tools to design and analyse product functionality and integrity in order to facilitate rapid deployment.

Technical Capability Requirements

Competence in using 3D Design Softwares CATIA, SolidWorks, FEA Simulations

Hands with PLM tools would be helpful for future scalability

Thorough knowledge on Manufacturing Drawings, Processes, GD&T

Hands on knowledge on casting, machining, sheet metal, forging processes, structural designs

Rapidly respond to both customer and internal technical support needs.

Promote teamwork with manufacturing engineers, supply chain, and planners to ensure proper handoff of designs to manufacturing sites for customer orders.

Report on progress of projects and identify critical issues that need to be addressed utilizing sound communication skills.

Review customer requirements with references to related international standards and regulations

Support all necessary analysis and simulation in supporting the proposed system architectures

Engage product development teams from concept to production including design proposal, multiple stages of design review, test plan, test design, and test review

Hands on experience on Product Development, Engineering Change Request, Engineering Change Process

Educational Qualifications Requirements

• B. Tech Mechanical / Diploma in Mechanical
• Technical knowledge of product design process preferably in Automotive Domain, including test and evaluation, and the relevant manufacturing methods and processes
• Demonstration of taking initiatives
• Effective communication skills at all levels of the organization
• Ability to work with functions outside of Engineering
