Job Summary:We are looking for a Junior Cab Designer to support the design and drafting of electrical and mechanical cabinets, enclosures, and related assemblies. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of engineering drawings, 2D/3D CAD software, and a keen eye for accuracy and detail. This position is ideal for candidates who are passionate about industrial design and want to grow their technical skills in a professional engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare detailed 2D drawings and 3D models of cabinets, enclosures, and panels based on project requirements.
- Assist in creating fabrication and assembly drawings with proper dimensions, tolerances, and material specifications.
- Work closely with electrical and mechanical design teams to ensure design feasibility and compliance with standards.
- Update and revise drawings as per client feedback or engineering changes.
- Maintain accurate drawing documentation and revision control.
- Support the preparation of Bill of Materials (BOM) for cab assemblies.
- Ensure all designs meet safety, ergonomics, and manufacturing standards.
- Collaborate with procurement and production teams to resolve design-related issues during manufacturing.
Qualifications & Skills:- Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
- 02 years of experience in cabinet or enclosure design (freshers with strong CAD skills may apply).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Creo (knowledge of 3D modeling preferred).
- Basic knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, wiring layout, and component placement.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications (Optional):- Experience in Electrical Panel or Control Cabinet Design.
- Understanding of EMC/EMI design considerations for enclosures.
- Familiarity with industrial standards (IEC, IS, or UL).
