Engineer- Toolkit Programming

Job Description:

Analyse, develop and maintain custom CAD customization tools in support of Vertiv's global product design. Your role will be crucial in enhancing the PTC Creo Parametric and Illustrate platform by developing custom toolkit programs, which will be used to support CAD design for a broad portfolio of Vertiv products. You will provide timely support for global design teams, improving their design experience. Coordinating with senior members to deliver the assigned projects or tasks will be instrumental. Your ability to work independently to develop and maintain custom toolkit programs will be highly appreciated. As a part of the global core engineering function, you will help maintain the desired quality and schedule adherence defined by the organization and report as per the communication plan.

Job Specifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or Mechanical Engineering master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience (3-4 years) in Creo Toolkit programming, with a strong portfolio of custom applications and tools developed for Creo Parametric.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, C#, or Java, with a deep understanding of object-oriented design principles and software development methodologies.
  • Extensive knowledge of Creo Parametric functionality and APIs, including Pro/Toolkit, J-Link, VB API, and Web.Link.
  • Experience with CAD/CAM/CAE software development and integration, particularly in manufacturing or product design.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex technical challenges, devise innovative solutions, and implement them effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions on schedule and within budget constraints.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Self-motivated, disciplined, capable of working with minimal supervision and in timely manner.
  • Good Team Player with Leadership Skills.
