Position: CAD Engineer - Electric Vehicle
Experience: 1-2 years in the Automotive Design
Education: Engineering Degree in Mechanical or Automobile
Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with our multi-disciplinary team, including designers, engineers, and researchers, to understand project requirements and goals.
- Utilize advanced Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software to create and refine detailed 2D and 3D models of electric vehicle components and systems.
- Ensure that all CAD designs align with our EV company's principles of sustainability, safety, and performance.
- Apply vehicle engineering concepts to optimize EV designs for aerodynamics, energy efficiency, and overall vehicle performance.
- Conduct feasibility studies and design analysis to evaluate the viability and functionality of proposed solutions.
- Demonstrate a strong aptitude for innovation and creative problem-solving to enhance EV design concepts.
- Collaborate with the prototype development team to facilitate the smooth transition from CAD models to physical prototypes.
- Support prototype testing and iterate on designs based on performance data and feedback.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in EV technology and CAD tools.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience of 1-2 years as a CAD Engineer in the automotive domain, with specific exposure to electric vehicle projects.
- Deep understanding of vehicle engineering concepts, including chassis systems, Manufacturing Process, Vehicle Dynamics etc.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to effectively convert conceptual designs into functional EV prototypes.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional accuracy and precision in CAD modeling.
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- A passion for sustainable transportation and a desire to contribute to the growth of the EV industry.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced and innovative environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in designing electric vehicle components or systems, such as battery packs, electric motors, or EV-specific chassis.
- Familiarity with prototyping techniques, manufacturing, and materials suitable for EV applications.
- Knowledge of simulation and analysis tools used in electric vehicle design, such as thermal analysis and battery performance modeling.
