About the Role
We are looking for a CA Industrial Trainee to join our Finance team at a manufacturing company in Pune. This role offers hands-on exposure to corporate finance, management reporting, budgeting, cost analysis, and business decision support. The trainee will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders (Production, Supply Chain, Procurement, Sales) and support data-driven financial insights using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting and Reporting
· Assist in performing financial accounting activities.
· Assist in preparation of monthly MIS, dashboards, and management presentations.
· Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis (actual vs. budget/forecast).
· Track key performance indicators (KPIs) for manufacturing operations and support root-cause analysis.
Compliance & Audit Support
· Assist in internal controls documentation and testing.
· Support statutory/ internal audit requirements by compiling data and evidence.
· Assist with GST/TDS and other routine finance compliance activities (as applicable).
Data, Automation & Business Intelligence
· Build and maintain Excel-based models (pivots, Power Query, advanced formulas).
· Create Power BI dashboards for finance and operations reporting (data modeling, DAX basics).
· Prepare clear and structured PowerPoint presentations for leadership reviews.
· Identify opportunities to streamline reporting through templates, automation, and standardization.
Required Qualifications
· CA Intermediate cleared and eligible for Industrial Training (ICAI).
· Strong understanding of accounting and finance fundamentals.
· Microsoft Excel (Advanced): pivots, lookup functions, conditional logic, data validation, charts; exposure to Power Query preferred.
· Microsoft PowerPoint: professional slide structuring, storytelling with data.
· Power BI: dashboard creation, data transformation, data modeling; exposure to DAX preferred.
Preferred Skills / Nice-to-Have
· Exposure to manufacturing finance (costing, inventory, plant MIS).
· Basic knowledge of SAP ERP systems.
· Understanding of internal controls and audit processes.
· Strong business communication and stakeholder management.
