Role Overview
The
CA Manager – Direct Tax will be responsible for supporting the Direct Tax team in handling compliance, advisory, and assessments. This role is ideal for a motivated CA Fresher seeking in-depth exposure in
Direct Taxation and long-term growth within the firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparation, review, and filing of Income Tax Returns for individuals, HUFs, firms, companies, and other entities.
- Support in Tax Audit activities, preparation of Form 3CD and related documentation.
- Work on TDS/TCS compliance, including reviewing workings and ensuring timely return filing.
- Prepare tax computations, including advance tax workings and deferred tax calculations.
- Assist in preparing responses to Income Tax notices, scrutiny assessments, and departmental correspondence.
- Conduct research on Direct Tax matters, amendments, and case laws to support advisory assignments.
- Prepare working papers, maintain documentation, and ensure compliance with internal processes.
- Coordinate with clients for data collection, clarifications, and query resolution.
- Stay updated with changes in the Income Tax Act, Rules, Notifications, and Circulars.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong conceptual understanding of Direct Tax laws
- Good analytical and problem-solving ability
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and tax software (training can be provided)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage tasks, prioritize, and meet deadlines
- High ethical standards, confidentiality, and professionalism
Qualification
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) – Fresher
- Articleship experience in Direct Tax will be an advantage
