Role Description This is a full-time, on-site CA Finance & Accounts Manager role based in Chennai. The Finance & Accounts Manager will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger management, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and monthly closing activities. The role involves preparing and reviewing financial statements, budgeting and forecasting, monitoring cash flow, and ensuring compliance with statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements. The manager will coordinate internal and external audits, implement and strengthen internal controls, and support management with financial analysis for decision-making. The position also includes collaborating with branch teams across multiple locations, improving financial processes, and contributing to cost control and profitability initiatives within the equipment rental business.
Qualifications
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with relevant post-qualification experience in finance and accounts, preferably in construction, infrastructure, or equipment rental industries.
- Strong core accounting skills, including general ledger management, account reconciliation, and preparation of financial statements.
- Knowledge of taxation, statutory compliance (direct and indirect taxes), and familiarity with Indian accounting standards and corporate regulations.
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis to support business planning and performance monitoring.
- Proficiency in accounting and ERP software, advanced Excel skills, and comfort working with financial reports and data analytics tools.
- Ability to design, implement, and monitor internal controls, and to coordinate internal and external audits effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams and multiple branch locations.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, including mentoring and supervising accounting staff and driving process improvements.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Commerce, Finance, or a related field; experience in multi-location operations is an advantage.
