About Position:
We are looking for a highly skilled C++ Telecom Software Engineer to join our product engineering team focused on Operations, Administration, and Maintenance (OAM) solutions for next generation 4G and 5G telecom networks. This role offers the opportunity to design, develop, and optimise high-performance network management applications that are critical to monitoring, configuration, fault management, and service assurance across telecom infrastructures. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in C/C++, Linux system programming, multithreaded application development, network programming, and telecom protocols, combined with a passion for building scalable and reliable software solutions. Experience with AI-powered developer tools such as Cursor, Claude, and GitHub Copilot will be an added advantage.

What You'll Do:
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance C/C++ applications for OAM and telecom network management systems.
- Build scalable software solutions supporting 4G LTE and 5G network elements, focusing on reliability, availability, and performance.
- Develop and enhance FCAPS (Fault, Configuration, Accounting, Performance, and Security) management capabilities.
- Implement and optimise multithreaded, concurrent applications with a strong focus on synchronization, thread safety, and performance.
- Develop client-server applications using TCP/IP socket programming and network communication frameworks.
- Design efficient data structures and algorithms to meet stringent telecom performance requirements.
- Perform debugging and root cause analysis using GDB, core dump analysis, memory profiling, and performance tuning tools.
- Enhance application scalability through memory optimisation, code profiling, and latency reduction techniques.
- Develop automation scripts using Shell Scripting and Bash for deployment, monitoring, and maintenance activities.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including architecture, QA, DevOps, and product management throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and technical discussions to ensure best engineering practices.
- Leverage modern AI development tools such as Cursor, Claude, and Copilot to improve productivity, code quality, and development efficiency.
Expertise You'll Bring:
- Strong programming expertise in C, C++, Modern C++ (C++11/14/17/20), and STL.
- Deep understanding of Object-Oriented Design (OOD), design patterns, and software engineering principles.
- Extensive experience with multithreading, synchronization mechanisms, thread safety, IPC (Inter-Process Communication), and concurrency programming.
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and performance-oriented application design.
- Hands-on experience with TCP/IP, socket programming, network protocols, and distributed client-server systems.
- Expertise in Linux system programming and administration on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8+ environments.
- Strong debugging skills using GDB, core dump analysis, memory leak detection tools, profiling, and performance optimisation techniques.
- Experience in Shell Scripting/Bash for automation and operational efficiency.
- Experience developing or supporting OAM (Operations, Administration & Maintenance) applications.
- Good understanding of SNMP, FCAPS, network management systems, and telecom service assurance frameworks.
- Exposure to 4G LTE and 5G network technologies, telecom protocols, and network element management.
- Understanding of telecom architecture, fault management, performance monitoring, and network orchestration is highly desirable.
