C++ Software Engineer

Job Title: C++ Software Engineer

Location: Chennai only

Experience Level: 5-8 Years

Core Responsibilities:

As the key stakeholder and Engineer 3 level engineer, you would

Analyze requirements, design software, conducting peer reviews, code and unit test as well as software integration and test activities.

Oversees testing and develops fixes.

Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision.

Identify opportunities for system enhancements that will deliver enhanced functionality

Facilitate and develop plans for application changes (including defects fixes, enhancements and/or configuration changes).

Configure and test changes to system including reports, security access, and workflow.

Perform/Coordinate configuration changes to the production environment.

Work closely with BA/QA team members to create test plans and ensure that issues are properly identified, fixed, and tested.

About the Role

Requirements Key requirements and experience include:

• Must require a bachelor's degree in a related area and 5+ to 9 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
• Has knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.

Responsibilities:

• The Embedded Software Developer is responsible for participating in all phases of the software development life cycle.
• Tasks include: Requirements analysis, software design, conducting peer reviews, code and unit test as well as software integration and test activities.

Required Skills

• Programming Languages: C/C++, Shell scripting
• Operating System: Expertise in Linux, system calls, Kernel, Multi-Threaded, Inter Process Communication, Networking drivers
• Domain Expertise: Build system, Yocto, Security, Hands on experience on usage of tools for measurement of system performance like memory, CPU consumption (for e.g. usage of memcapture, perf, ftrace etc.)
