Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain server-side/backend applications using C/C++.
- Enhance, modernize, and refactor existing C/C++ applications to improve functionality and maintainability.
- Participate across the complete SDLC, including design, development, testing, debugging, deployment, and maintenance.
- Analyze existing code and implement improvements to performance, scalability, reliability, and code quality.
- Work with the existing Python-based test framework to develop, maintain, and execute automated tests.
- Debug and troubleshoot application and production issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
- Work with backend data stores and write, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver robust backend solutions.
- Perform code reviews and follow coding standards and best practices.
- Contribute to modernization initiatives and continuous improvement of the existing application architecture.
- Support deployment and maintenance activities across development, testing, and production environments.
- Strong hands-on experience in C/C++ backend development.
- Experience working on and modernizing legacy or existing C/C++ applications.
- Good understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Experience with debugging, troubleshooting, testing, and deployment.
- Hands-on experience with Python, preferably with Python-based test automation frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- Understanding of backend application architecture and server-side development.
- Experience optimizing applications for performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and software engineering principles.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
