About the Role

We are looking for a Buying Merchandiser Intern to support our fashion and apparel buying operations. This is a short-term, hands-on opportunity for candidates interested in fashion buying, vendor sourcing, product development, and merchandising.

Key Responsibilities

* Research fashion trends, products, fabrics, colours, and market opportunities.

* Assist in sourcing manufacturers, suppliers, and vendors.

* Identify and evaluate potential vendors based on product, quality, pricing, and MOQ.

* Coordinate with vendors regarding samples, pricing, MOQ, and delivery timelines.

* Assist with product selection and development.

* Support sample follow-ups and vendor communication.

* Compare vendor quotations and assist with basic product costing.

* Assist during market and vendor visits when required.

* Maintain vendor databases, product details, costing sheets, and purchase records.

* Follow up with vendors regarding samples, production, and deliveries.

* Coordinate with buying, inventory, e-commerce, and operations teams.

Requirements

* 1–3 years of experience in buying, merchandising, fashion, apparel sourcing, or a related field.

* Fashion/apparel knowledge is preferred.

* Good communication and negotiation skills.

* Basic knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets.

* Strong research and follow-up skills.

* Interest in fashion, retail, and product sourcing.

* Freshers with relevant fashion/apparel education are welcome.

* Candidates should be willing to visit markets/vendors when required.
