House of Chikankari is a purpose-driven brand focused on reviving and preserving the heritage art of Chikankari while empowering local artisans. We are a fast-growing D2C fashion brand with a strong emphasis on people, processes, and culture.

Role Overview

We're looking for a detail-oriented Buying Analyst to support data-driven merchandising and buying decisions. This role sits at the intersection of product, planning, and supply chain—ensuring the right products are bought, priced, and stocked to meet business and customer demand.

Key Responsibilities

* Analyze sales trends, inventory levels, and customer demand to support buying decisions

* Assist in assortment planning across categories, styles, and price points

* Track product performance (sell-through, margins, stock turns) and identify opportunities for optimization

* Work closely with buying, design, and supply chain teams to ensure timely procurement and replenishment

* Monitor stock levels and recommend reorders, markdowns, or liquidation strategies

* Build and maintain reports/dashboards for weekly and monthly reviews

* Support seasonal planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes

* Identify gaps in assortment and recommend new product opportunities

Requirements

* 3–5 years of experience in buying, merchandising, or retail analytics

* Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, basic modeling)

* Experience working with large datasets and translating insights into actions

* Understanding of retail metrics: sell-through, GMROI, inventory turnover, etc.

* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

* Ability to collaborate across teams and manage multiple priorities

Good to Have

* Experience in fashion/apparel or D2C brands

* Familiarity with tools like Power BI, Tableau, or ERP systems

* Basic understanding of supply chain and demand forecasting

* Improved inventory efficiency and reduced stock-outs/overstock

* Strong alignment between buying plans and actual sales performance

* Actionable insights that directly impact revenue and margins
