Key Responsibilities
- Merchandise Assortment and Buying Planning
- Develop and manage merchandise assortment plans for all stores.
- Create and execute buying plans aligned with sales targets for assigned categories.
- Set Average Retail Price (ARP) targets for product categories.
- Develop option plans and conduct in-depth analysis to optimize inventory mix.
- Formulate stock-to-sale plans for the season, including EOM/BOM calculations and Open-to-Buy (OTB).
- Build flash lines based on current trends specifically for A+ stores.
- Target Setting and Performance Tracking
- Set monthly sales targets broken down by product category.
- Monitor target versus achievement metrics regularly.
- Prepare merchandise plan reports and analyze product performance (SKU level).
- Inventory Management
- Ensure ideal stock cover levels are maintained for each product category.
- Monitor and control stock dormancy and pullbacks within specified norms.
- Generate and analyze weekly and monthly sell-through reports, including photo sell-through reports.
- Stock and Sales Planning
- Coordinate dispatch plans by product category and track planned vs. actual dispatches.
- Manage store-wise allocation based on dispatch plans and size-wise analysis.
- Track allocation versus actual dispatches and reconcile discrepancies.
- Market Intelligence and Training
- Monitor competitor new launches, window displays, and promotional schemes.
- Conduct competition mapping regularly to stay updated on market trends.
- Organize training sessions on merchandise, products, and visual merchandising.
- Estimate market, product, and design trends to guide merchandise planning.
- Core Business Contribution
- Work towards enhancing the category's contribution to overall business on a like-to-like basis.
- Identify new designs to add value to the category.
- Range Architecture and Product Coordination
- Provide seasonal range architecture to product and design teams.
- Develop category-wise option grids using insights from past seasons and market forecasts.
- Integrated Go-To-Market (IGTM) Planning
- Collaborate with Visual Merchandising (VM) and design teams to plan IGTM stories.
- Lead the look development and dressing of key stores.
- Coordinate rollout plans across stores to ensure successful execution.
