Key Responsibilities:
- In material planning for Salcomp, the buyer's role is to source and procure raw materials, components, and supplies, ensuring they meet quality standards and are available in a timely and cost-effective manner to support production.

Sourcing and Procurement:
- Identifying and evaluating potential suppliers based on factors like quality, cost, reliability, and delivery speed.
- Negotiating contracts and prices with suppliers.
- Placing purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of materials.
Material Management:
- Maintaining adequate material levels on-site to support production schedules.
- Managing inventory, including raw materials, work-in-process, and finished products.
- Addressing material shortages and developing action plans.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Working closely with manufacturing, engineering, and other relevant departments to ensure material availability and meet production needs.
- Communicating with stakeholders about material availability, potential issues, and action plans.
Quality Control:
- Ensuring that procured materials meet the required quality standards.
- Working with suppliers to address any quality issues.
Cost Efficiency:
- Focus on finding the best value for money, balancing quality, cost and delivery times
Skills & Qualification:
- Experience in material planning, inventory management, and supply chain management. 2-5 Years
- Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
