Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Buyer to support our logistics and warehousing procurement operations. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of SAP S/4HANA, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to manage a diverse set of internal and external stakeholders. This role is critical in ensuring cost-effective and efficient procurement of transportation services and warehouse space.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Operations:
- Assist in sourcing and procuring transportation services and warehouse rental agreements.
- Support the end-to-end procurement process, from RFQs to contract finalization.
Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate with internal teams including logistics, warehouse operations, finance, and legal.
- Maintain strong relationships with external vendors and service providers.
Negotiation & Cost Optimization:
- Participate in negotiations for freight rates, warehouse leases, and service contracts.
- Analyze market trends and supplier performance to identify cost-saving opportunities.
SAP S/4HANA Utilization:
- Create and manage purchase orders, vendor master data, and procurement reports in SAP S/4HANA.
- Ensure data accuracy and compliance with procurement policies.
Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of contracts, agreements, and supplier communications.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in procurement or supply chain, preferably in logistics or warehousing.
- Basic working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA is required.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with logistics service providers and warehouse leasing.
- Familiarity with procurement KPIs and reporting tools.
- Exposure to contract management and vendor evaluation.
