Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to purchase materials according to required technical specifications, price, delivery schedule, and terms. Each day, you will ensure purchasing activities align with corporate purchasing policies and procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying new suppliers in cooperation with the relevant category team.

This role is contributing to the Motion business for IEC Low Voltage Division based in Bangalore, India

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Initiating Purchase Orders in the system, according to the purchase requisitions and in alignment with standard procedures, and confirming delivery with suppliers, monitoring, and tracking supplier performance to PO requirements.

• Ensuring delivered goods meet company standards and coordinating returns or replacements if necessary.

• Recommending frame agreements to management and executing upon approval.

• Inventory Control: Monitoring stock levels, analyzing market trends, and ensuring adequate supply without overstocking.

Qualifications for the role

• 5 to 8 years of experience in direct and indirect procurement.

• Full time Diploma or Engineering - Mechanical or Electrical.

• Knowledge about castings and Stampings will be added advantage Ensures integrity and compliance with ABB values and ethics in all activities.

• Manages relationships with stakeholders in their own area of responsibility and ensures alignment.

• Ensures the SAP Ariba platform is updated as defined in the procedure.
