Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Review purchase requisitions and release purchase orders to suppliers in a timely manner.
Collaborate with local and global suppliers to ensure material availability aligned with execution plans and service level targets.
Identify supply risks proactively and escalate challenges to support on-time delivery.
Maintain and update master data, including system-managed inventory mechanisms.
Partner with planning teams to provide updates on open purchase orders and material status.
Support planning teams with technical feasibility insights during project quotation stages.
Work closely with global supply chain, quality, logistics, stores, production, and finance teams to resolve P2P cycle issues.
Implement engineering changes in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
Identify supply chain challenges and drive improvement plans with cross-functional teams.
Participate in internal and external audits as required.
Negotiate with suppliers to optimize lead times and cost efficiency.
Prepare and share periodic reports on supply chain performance and metrics.
Support, guide, and motivate team members to achieve shared goals.
Recommend and implement process improvements within procurement operations.

For This Role, You Will Need:

A degree in Mechanical, Production Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Significant experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain, including hands-on exposure to casting or forging categories.
Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes and commercial terms.
Effective negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
Clear written and verbal communication skills.
Familiarity with import procedures and outsourcing processes.
Experience sourcing fabricated or buyout components.
Ability to document processes and analyze operational data for informed decision-making.
Proficiency in using digital tools for data analysis and reporting.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

Knowledge of foundry processes and casting/forging manufacturing techniques.
Experience working in a global or matrixed organization.
Exposure to enterprise systems and supply chain planning tools.
Demonstrated ability to lead improvement initiatives or projects.
