JOB DESCRIPTION

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Review purchase requisitions and release purchase orders to suppliers in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with local and global suppliers to ensure material availability aligned with execution plans and service level targets.
  • Identify supply risks proactively and escalate challenges to support on-time delivery.
  • Maintain and update master data, including system-managed inventory mechanisms.
  • Partner with planning teams to provide updates on open purchase orders and material status.
  • Support planning teams with technical feasibility insights during project quotation stages.
  • Work closely with global supply chain, quality, logistics, stores, production, and finance teams to resolve P2P cycle issues.
  • Implement engineering changes in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
  • Identify supply chain challenges and drive improvement plans with cross-functional teams.
  • Participate in internal and external audits as required.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to optimize lead times and cost efficiency.
  • Prepare and share periodic reports on supply chain performance and metrics.
  • Support, guide, and motivate team members to achieve shared goals.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements within procurement operations.

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • A degree in Mechanical, Production Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Significant experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain, including hands-on exposure to casting or forging categories.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes and commercial terms.
  • Effective negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with import procedures and outsourcing processes.
  • Experience sourcing fabricated or buyout components.
  • Ability to document processes and analyze operational data for informed decision-making.
  • Proficiency in using digital tools for data analysis and reporting.
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
  • Knowledge of foundry processes and casting/forging manufacturing techniques.
  • Experience working in a global or matrixed organization.
  • Exposure to enterprise systems and supply chain planning tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead improvement initiatives or projects.
