Position Summary
The Buy Box & Marketplace Specialistplays a key role in managing and optimizing a brand's presence on e-commerce platforms, with a specific focus on securing and maintaining the Buy Boxposition. This role involves analyzing marketplace performance, refining pricing and inventory strategies, improving product visibility, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive online sales growth and enhance customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Buy Box & Marketplace Performance
- Monitor and analyses marketplace metrics, including Buy Boxpercentage, pricing competitiveness, product visibility, conversion rates, and sales performance.
- Implement strategic actions to improve Buy Boxownership through competitive pricing, strong seller metrics, fulfilment reliability and stock availability.
- Track and address lost Buy Boxsituations, suppressed listings, pricing conflicts, and demand fluctuations.
Inventory & Operations Coordination
- Work closely with supply chain, warehouse or operations teams to ensure strong inventory health, availability and stock replenishment to maintain high Buy Boxeligibility and prevent out-of-stock situations.
- Support inventory planning, forecasting and fulfilment strategies to align with marketplace requirements and seasonal demands.
Listing & Content Optimization
- Ensure product listings on marketplaces like Amazon, Flipkart or others are accurate, fully optimized and compliant with platform standards, including titles, bullet points, images, and A+ content.
- Collaborate with marketing and content teams to enhance SEO, product detail quality and conversion metrics.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Coordinate with advertising, pricing, customer service and logistics teams to align Buy Box strategies with broader business goals.
- Communicate performance insights, trends and optimization opportunities to stakeholders and leadership teams.
Reporting & Analysis
- Generate regular performance reports showing Buy Box share, pricing movement, inventory status, listing quality, and competitor trends.
- Use data and competitive insights to recommend improvements, prioritize actions, and support decision-making.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, E-commerce, Supply Chain, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience:
Prior experience in e-commerce operations, marketplace management, Buy Box optimization, or Amazon Seller Central is highly desirable.
Technical Skills
Familiarity with marketplace platforms (especially Amazon), inventory tools, pricing dashboards and marketplace analytics.
Analytical Ability
Strong data analysis skills with attention to detail and ability to interpret performance metrics.
Communication
Excellent verbal and written communication for internal coordination and stakeholder engagement.
