Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Business Development Representative role based in Chennai. The Business Development Representative will identify and qualify potential customers, generate and follow up on leads, and support the sales pipeline through calls, emails, and meetings. This role involves researching target markets and accounts, understanding customer pain points, and clearly communicating Opmaint's value proposition. The person in this role will coordinate with sales and marketing teams, maintain accurate records in CRM tools, and provide timely, professional responses to customer inquiries. The Business Development Representative will also support demos, proposals, and post-meeting follow-ups to help convert prospects into long-term customers.

What you'll do

  • Book qualified meetings for Account Executives by running 70–100 outbound calls daily to plant managers, maintenance supervisors, and ops leads at industrial companies
  • Build and execute multi-touch outreach sequences (phone, email, LinkedIn) that earn responses by speaking to the real problems facilities teams face
  • Develop fluency in Opmaint's value proposition so your conversations go beyond a script and into real dialogue about equipment reliability and operations
  • Keep your pipeline clean and accurate in Salesforce, following up consistently on every open thread without needing a reminder
  • Partner with AEs to understand what's converting and sharpen your targeting and approach over time
