Role Summary
We are hiring a Business Unit Sales Head Spiritual Tourism to build and scale revenue for our elder-focused spiritual tourism business. This role owns sales strategy, partnerships, pricing, targets, and customer trust-buildingfrom first counseling call to repeat journeys.
This is an Investor-Operator opportunity for leaders who want ownership and long-term upside.
Key Responsibilities
1) Revenue Strategy & GTM Ownership- Own BU revenue plan, pricing, packaging (premium / assisted / wheelchair-friendly / medical-supported).
- Build route-wise sales playbooks (Char Dham, Kashi, Vrindavan, Shirdi, Vaishno Devi, etc.).
- Define targets, forecast, CAC/LTV goals, city expansion plan, and sales budgets.
2) Sales Execution (B2C + B2B)- Drive B2C sales: families booking for parents (high-trust, consultation-led selling).
- Drive B2B alliances: RWAs, senior communities, corporates, spiritual organizations, elder clubs.
- Build a scalable lead-to-booking funnel: inquiry counseling medical intake itinerary walkthrough booking.
3) Partnerships & Channel Network- Build and manage channel partners: travel agents, tour operators, community leaders, hospitals/clinics, assisted living ecosystems.
- Negotiate commercials, incentives, SLAs, and ensure partner-led lead flow.
4) Customer Trust & Experience Ownership- Own the sales-to-ops handover process to ensure zero drop in experience.
- Build trust assets: family tracking pitch, safety protocols, medical readiness overview, testimonials, referral loops.
- Drive post-trip reviews, NPS, referrals, repeat journeys, and upsell to new circuits.
5) Team Building & Sales Ops- Hire and lead sales managers, counselors, partnership managers, and inside sales support.
- Implement CRM discipline, scripts, objection handling, follow-up cadence, and conversion tracking.
- Create training for elder empathy, medical intake basics, and trust-first communication.
6) Compliance-aware Selling- Ensure sales processes include medical consent, insurance guidance, waivers, data privacy, and transparent inclusions/exclusions.
- Maintain structured escalation flow for special cases (mobility, chronic illness, emergency risk flags).
Success Metrics (KPIs)- Monthly/quarterly bookings + revenue + gross margin per trip
- Conversion rate (lead counseling booking), CAC, and funnel velocity
- Partner onboarding velocity and partner contribution to bookings
- Repeat rate + referral rate, NPS, review quality
- Sales team productivity: calls/day, conversion, revenue/rep, pipeline accuracy
Required Qualifications- 1015+ years in sales leadership in travel/tourism/hospitality (pilgrimage tours preferred).
- Strong capability in consultative selling, high-ticket packages, and trust-led customer acquisition.
- Proven ability to build channels/partnerships and scale revenue across cities.
- Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and process orientation.
Investor-Operator Requirement (Preferred)- Willingness to invest capital into the BU (equity/convertible/partner capitalmutually structured).
- Skin in the game mindset to accelerate execution and ownership.
ESOP & Upside- ESOP/equity linked to experience, investment commitment, and milestone-based performance.
