About the Role
We are seeking an entrepreneurial Business Unit Head for our IT Consulting & Services customer in Bengaluru to lead and scale their AI & Analytics practice from $2M to $5M in revenue within 2 years. This is a rare opportunity to own the complete P&L of a 50-person business unit with significant upside through revenue sharing arrangements.
The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities
Business Growth & Strategy
- Drive aggressive revenue growth from $2M to $5M within 24 months through new client acquisition, account expansion, and service innovation
- Develop and execute comprehensive business unit strategy aligned with market opportunities
- Build robust sales pipeline and own complex client relationships
- Identify new market segments, service offerings, and partnership opportunities
- Execute rapid go-to-market initiatives to accelerate growth trajectory
P&L Management
- Own complete financial performance including revenue, margins, and profitability
- Manage operating expenses, resource allocation, and investment decisions to support rapid scaling
- Drive pricing strategy and deal structuring for optimal unit economics
- Deliver quarterly and annual financial targets with focus on sustainable growth
Operations & Delivery
- Ensure exceptional project delivery and client satisfaction across all engagements
- Build scalable delivery processes and operational frameworks to support 2.5x growth
- Manage resource planning, utilization, and capacity across growing team
- Drive productivity improvements and operational efficiency
- Balance growth velocity with delivery excellence
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of data scientists, analysts, and engineers
- Scale team strategically to support revenue growth (likely to 75-100+ people)
- Build strong leadership bench and succession planning
- Foster culture of excellence, innovation, and accountability
- Drive talent acquisition strategy to support aggressive growth ambitions
Required Experience
- 10+ years of progressive experience with 5+ years in growth, operations, or business leadership roles
- Proven track record of scaling businesses or business units 2x+ within 2-3 years, ideally in professional services or technology
- Strong understanding of P&L management, unit economics, and business fundamentals
- Experience managing teams of 30+ people with demonstrated leadership capability during high-growth phases
- Deep understanding of AI,Analytics market, client needs, and competitive landscape
- Background in growth roles (sales leadership, account management, business development) or operations roles strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to execute at pace without sacrificing quality

- Track record of successfully scaling teams and operations during hypergrowth
- MBA or relevant advanced degree
- Experience building or scaling business units from ground up
What Success Looks Like
- Year 1 - Achieve $3M+ revenue (50% growth), build scalable infrastructure, expand leadership team, establish repeatable sales motion
- Year 2 - Hit $5M revenue target (150% growth from Year 0), establish market leadership position, achieve healthy margins, build sustainable growth engine
