We're looking for a Business Systems & Technology Analyst, a professional who bridges business needs, software solutions, and project execution. This is an ideal flexible engagement for someone with strong analytical skills, hands-on technical aptitude, and a talent for coordinating cross-functional initiatives.
In this role, you'll be instrumental in shaping software projects from early requirements through implementation, working closely with stakeholders, developers, and project teams to ensure solutions are technically sound and aligned with business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements, translating them into clear specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Analyze existing systems, integrations, and workflows to identify technical improvements and optimization opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with developers and project stakeholders to ensure solutions are feasible, well-scoped, and aligned with business goals.
- Support project planning and delivery by helping define scope, priorities, timelines, risks, and dependencies.
- Track progress and deliverables, proactively identifying blockers or misalignment between business and technical teams.
- Participate in testing and validation activities (including UAT) to ensure delivered solutions meet requirements and quality standards.
- Maintain clear, structured documentation related to requirements, technical decisions, and project status.
Requirements
- Background in software analysis, systems analysis, business analysis, project coordination, or a similar role, or a strong drive to grow in these areas.
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycles (e.g., Agile, Scrum) and technical workflows.
- Ability to translate complex business processes into technical requirements and actionable project plans.
- Strong communicator who can explain technical concepts to both developers and business stakeholders with clarity.
- Self-motivated and highly organized, comfortable working independently in a flexible, remote setup.
- Experience with project tracking tools (e.g. Jira, Azure DevOps), documentation tools (e.g. Confluence), and process modeling is a plus.
- Comfortable working as an independent contractor.
