About the Role
We are looking for a Business Systems Analyst to gather, analyse, and document requirements, ensuring that enterprise application and technology projects align with the organisation's objectives. Based in Singapore and reporting to the General Manager – Digital Enablement, you will work closely with project teams and cross-functional user groups to translate business requirements into technical specifications and support the successful delivery of technology solutions.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit and document business and functional requirements.
- Analyse business processes, workflows, and user needs to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Define and prioritise requirements based on business value and feasibility.
- Create clear and detailed requirement documents, including user stories, use cases, process flows, and mock-ups.
- Ensure that requirements are well-documented, understood, and approved by stakeholders.
- Translate business requirements into functional system specifications.
- Review and validate technical solutions to ensure they meet business needs and requirements.
- Facilitate communication between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure a shared understanding of project goals.
- Serve as a liaison between business users, development teams, vendors/partners, by translating business needs into technical terms.
- Assist in supporting SMEs in developing test scenarios and test cases to validate that IT solutions meet requirements.
- Assess the impact of proposed changes on business processes and stakeholders.
- Analyse data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform business decisions.
- Provide input for process improvements based on insights gained from business analysis activities.
- Ensuring that enterprise solutions comply with relevant regulations and standards, and that data is stored, presented, and handled securely in line within the company's ISMS and IBMS governance requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor in Computer Science (or equivalent IT related field)
- Certification in Project Management (PRINCE2, PMP, or equivalent experience)
Required Skills
- Knowledge of best practices in data integration and automation.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to understand complex business processes and propose effective solutions.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall.
- Knowledge of database concepts, SQL queries, and data analysis tools.
- Familiarity with system design principles and ability to understand technical architecture diagrams.
- Proficiency in creating various types of documentation including business requirements documents (BRD), functional requirements documents (FRD), use cases, user stories, etc.
- Excellent communication skills for effectively translating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and vice versa.
- Requirements gathering and documentation expertise, including the ability to create clear and comprehensive requirement artifacts.
