About the Role

At First500days, we work with entrepreneurs, founders, international students, professionals, and aspiring business owners to build innovative UK-based businesses through our venture studio and execution model under the UK Innovator Founder ecosystem.

We are looking for a highly analytical and research-driven Business Research Analyst who can identify emerging market opportunities, discover innovative business ideas, conduct deep market validation, and support clients in shaping scalable and investment-worthy ventures.

This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy solving business problems, studying industries, analysing trends, and converting research into actionable business opportunities.

• Research emerging market trends, consumer behaviour, and industry opportunities across the UK and global markets.
• Identify innovative and scalable business ideas aligned with market demand and innovation requirements.
• Conduct competitor analysis, market sizing, and feasibility studies.
• Prepare business research reports, opportunity assessments, and documentation for clients.
• Assist in validating business ideas through data-driven research and insights.
• Participate in client discussions to understand backgrounds, expertise, and business aspirations.
• Translate research findings into practical business recommendations and venture concepts.
• Support preparation of business plans, innovation reports, and presentation materials.
• Stay updated with developments in startups, technology, AI, sustainability, travel, healthcare, fintech, and other emerging sectors.

• MBA graduate or currently pursuing an MBA (preferred).
• Strong research and analytical abilities.
• Excellent documentation and report-writing skills.
• Good communication and client interaction skills.
• Ability to convert complex information into structured business insights.
• Comfortable working with market research tools, reports, and online databases.
• Strong presentation skills and attention to detail.
• Curiosity-driven mindset with a passion for innovation and entrepreneurship.
