Role Overview
The Business Project Developer/Lead Business Project Developer partners with the business and project development team to provide project engineering support by developing process flow sheets, preparing proposals & estimates, and providing technical/commercial support at meetings with prospective clients. This role requires the ability to build long-term relationships with internal and external customers by understanding their key business drivers and executing system assurance programs. A high level of emotional intelligence is required for this position. Also, lead team 0f 4-5 ppl.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand customer requirements in various industries such as light, heavy, paper, mining, and downstream in the industrial water space.
- Partner with the sales organization to meet customers, conduct discovery meetings, and validate customer requirements.
- Work on the design of solution , including scoping, basic sizing calculations, and collaborating with multiple vendor partners to determine most competitive market benchmark costs.
- Partner with Business Development Managers and Corporate Account Managers to communicate value offerings to customers & handle objections , be a part of the techno-commercial negotiation
- Provide project engineering support post Order by completing Basic Engineering Package
- Provide technical/commercial support at meetings with prospective clients.
Education:
- Engineering Degree (Mechanical, Chemical)
Experience:
- 15-20 years experience with design & proposal preparation in its entirety of wastewater equipment and systems, including clarification, filtration, membrane solids separation, metals removal, and biological treatment, ZLD to industrial clients.
Technical Expertise:
- 12 – 15 years of experience in designing wastewater systems and membrane technologies. Familiarity with modern technologies in membrane systems and zero liquid discharge (ZLD) regulatory projects.
Behavioral Competencies:
- High agility skills to interact with multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to build long-term relationships with internal and external customers.
- High level of emotional intelligence
- Ability to meet stretch timelines in a large geography ( IMEA)
Preferred Experience
- Experience in both front-end and back-end roles, including customer engagement, discovery, value communication, project design, and vendor coordination.
- Experience in the water treatment/Technology players /OEMS
