Position Overview
The Business Program Manager will own the day-to-day execution and optimization of our Loan Against Mutual Funds (LAMF) business across 6,000+ active mutual fund distributor (MFD) partners. This role focuses on driving operational excellence, partner enablement, and business performance through data-driven program management while working closely with Sales, Product, Tech, Marketing, Finance, and Operations teams.
Key Responsibilities
Partner Program Management
- Manage ongoing partner engagement programs including activation campaigns, performance tracking, and productivity improvement initiatives across the 6,000+ MFD partner base
- Design and execute partner enablement programs such as training webinars, product update communications, sales toolkit development, and best practice sharing
- Monitor partner performance metrics (activation rates, loan origination volumes, customer conversion) and implement intervention strategies for underperforming segments
- Coordinate with Sales team on partner escalations, high-value partnership opportunities, and market intelligence gathering
Business Analytics MIS
- Own daily, weekly, and monthly business dashboards tracking partner metrics, disbursement trends, conversion funnels, and portfolio health indicators in Google Sheets
- Conduct partner cohort analysis to identify high-performing segments, understand drop-off patterns, and recommend strategies for improving partner ROI
- Work with Business Support team member to ensure accurate data capture in LeadSquared CRM and maintain data integrity across systems
- Prepare business review presentations for leadership showcasing program performance, insights, and strategic recommendations
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with Product Tech teams to gather partner feedback on platform usability, prioritize feature enhancements, and test new product releases
- Coordinate with Marketing on campaign planning, partner communication strategies, and collateral development to drive lead generation
- Partner with Finance Operations to resolve partner payout issues, commission queries, and operational bottlenecks affecting partner experience
- Collaborate with Sales on territory planning, partner segmentation strategies, and identifying expansion opportunities in new MFD networks
Process Systems Optimization
- Continuously identify and implement process improvements to reduce partner onboarding time, increase application completion rates, and enhance overall operational efficiency
- Maintain and optimize LeadSquared workflows, partner communication templates, and automation rules to improve partner journey touchpoints
- Document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for partner program activities to ensure consistency and knowledge transfer
Key Performance Indicators
- Partner activation and engagement rates
- Monthly disbursement volume and growth trends
- Partner retention and productivity metrics
- Process efficiency improvements (TAT reductions, automation implementation)
- Quality and timeliness of business reporting and insights Location Travel This position is based in Bengaluru.
The role requires occasional pan-India travel for partner meetings, events, and market visits.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- 2-4 years of experience in business program management, partner operations, channel management, or business operations roles, preferably in fintech, NBFC, or financial services
- Strong proficiency in data analysis and reporting using Google Sheets/Excel including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas, and dashboard creation
- Experience working with CRM systems (LeadSquared preferred, Salesforce/Zoho acceptable) for workflow management and reporting
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders across functions and drive cross-functional initiatives without direct authority
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience creating executive presentations and partner-facing communications
- Self-starter with high ownership mindset, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment
Additional Information
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of mutual fund distribution ecosystem, MFD business models, and regulatory framework (SEBI/AMFI knowledge)
- Exposure to secured lending products, particularly Loan Against Securities or Loan Against Mutual Funds
- Experience in B2B2C or channel partnership models in financial services
