About the Business Planning and Operations (BPO) Team and the Role

The Business Planning and Operations (BPO) team holds a vital and strategic position in shaping the company's planning, implementation, and growth. This internship offers a unique chance to work closely with the COO's office within a rapidly expanding healthcare SaaS firm. It's not a typical administrative internship role; as a Business Planning and Operations intern, you'll contribute to high-impact operational systems that guide company operations.

If you have interests in strategy, operations, problem-solving, and interdisciplinary work, this role provides comprehensive exposure to various teams within the company, including Product, Engineering, Clinical, QA, and People teams.

This internship is a strong foundation for anyone aiming for a career in strategy, operations, PMO, consulting, or business leadership. High-performing interns will be considered for a permanent role.

What will you do

  • Assist in core projects, such as performance evaluation and operational readiness.
  • Contribute to improving processes, tools, and operating rhythms across the company.
  • Surface risks, blockers, and crossfunctional dependencies early, with clear context.
  • Attend weekly planning meetings and capture action items.
  • Support the creation, updating, and accuracy of the companywide initiatives tracker.
  • Conduct structured research to support business and operational decisions.
  • Prepare clear, structured weekly and monthly reports and summaries for leadership.
  • Collect, consolidate, and follow up on updates from multiple teams weekly.
  • Organize project folders, templates, and internal workflows.

Who is this role for

  • Students (final year) or recent graduates looking for a strategic, business-facing internship.
  • Individuals interested in operations, strategy, consulting, analytics, PMO, or management roles.
  • Individuals who enjoy structured work, clarity, and solving ambiguous problems.
  • Those who want exposure to senior leadership and cross-functional projects.
  • Anyone who wants to build a strong foundation for a career in operations or business leadership.

Why This Internship Is a Strong Career Opportunity

  • You will work directly with the COO's office as a Business Planning and Operations Intern.
  • Opportunity to learn end-to-end on how high-growth companies plan and execute, and operate.
  • You will learn how strategic decisions are translated into onground execution.
  • You will work across multiple teams, including Product, Engineering, Clinical, QA, and People and Culture.
  • You will gain hands-on exposure to real operational and strategic systems.
  • You will learn skills that translate to consulting, strategy, business operations, product operations, and leadership roles.
  • You will get hands-on responsibility and not shadow work.

Working at Origin Medical Research Lab

  • Get a head start in unlocking the power of your leadership DNA by discovering your strengths as you take on challenges that will prepare you for leading the way in making a difference.
  • You will receive training, along with continuous guidance and mentorship from team members.
  • You'll receive guidance and support from the founders in your career goals, helping you to develop your skills and build your professional network.
  • Opportunity to work with renowned clinicians, AI scientists, and business leaders from around the world.
  • You will receive an industry-standard monthly stipend, and outstanding candidates may be given a conditional full-time permanent role to join the Business Planning and Operations (BPO) team at the end of the internship.
